My experiment continued. I bought natural cosmetics. It does not contain the critical active ingredients mentioned above. But why is the skin so dry then?

I got to the bottom of this sign. On closer research, it quickly became clear that natural cosmetics are also conserved, but only with other means.

As soon as the "Ingredients" say aqua or water, this product must be preserved. Natural cosmetics mostly use alcohol (cetyl alcohol) for this and that makes the skin dry. Then add an emulsifier, otherwise the water and fat phase separate. “Durable for over a year” is the characteristic that the oh-so-natural cosmetics are sufficiently and strongly preserved.

The marigold balm of my shepherdess

Now I can ensure that it only contains marigold flowers and organic olive oil. Due to its pure fat phase, the marigold balm does not need to be preserved. The marigold oil is stirred and filled by hand with pure beeswax as a consistency and moisturizer.

Application of the marigold balm

We put a few droplets of fresh water on the hand, rub the balm between the palms of the hands, and then apply it to the cleansed skin. This makes the balm very economical.

Since no PEGs open the pores of the skin, it takes a moment for the balm to be absorbed.
